How can Worksoft Certify really take the coding out of automation?

All the necessary coding has already been done and packaged as part of Worksoft Certify. Worksoft Certify comes with extensive, reusable and powerful libraries of test automation functionality that you can use out of the box. These libraries are supported by Worksoft, and you are free to extend them or write your own if you need or want to. Why not save time by coding less and testing more?

Does the lack of coding mean your tests are less powerful?
Just the opposite. Worksoft Certify allows non-technical analysts to write automated tests with complete flow control: they can make decisions at any point based on test results and affect the execution path accordingly. You can also take advantage of Worksoft Certify's built-in context and statement management system and error recovery. There is no coding required to accomplish even advanced logic: just point and click.

Does Worksoft Certify need another test tool to work?
Worksoft Certify has native support for most platforms including Web, mainframe and most client/server applications as well as back end systems such as XML messages or databases. For selected environments, such as Smalltalk, PowerBuilder or Centura, Worksoft Certify may require a third party tool. Worksoft Certify is an open tool, and you are always free to choose whatever tool you prefer for any platform. That's part of what makes Worksoft Certify such a powerful enterprise solution: it is technology neutral.

How does Worksoft Certify handle custom objects?
Worksoft Certify allows new classes and actions to be added quickly and easily. Worksoft provides supported classes and you are free to extend them or request enhancements. Like all test tools, Worksoft Certify must either have access to an object's methods and properties or it must revert to keystroke or analog mode. Even if access is analog, however, the complexity is hidden from the test analyst; their interface remains the same as for all classes - point and click.

Top
