Worksoft Calls Up New CEO To Scale International Business

Worksoft Inc., a maker of application management software, has hired Jim Kent as chief executive to build its international business.
Kent most recently was president of Exact Software America, a position he came into following Exact Holding NV's acquisition of Kent Group, a software business consulting group he founded.
Leaving Worksoft is Bruce Johnson, who had been CEO since late 2006. He left for personal reasons and will stay with the company for a transition period, said Greg Davoll, Worksoft's vice president of marketing.
Kent was brought in to help the company scale its international business and to build off the company's strategic relationships, Davoll said.
Worksoft, based in Dallas, sells software for managing the use and deployment of SAP AG applications.
The company, founded in 1998, is backed by Austin Ventures and Crescendo Ventures. It last raised an undisclosed amount of financing in late 2008, the final tranche of which was pulled down in December 2009, Davoll said.
