Worksoft® Positioned as Visionary in Gartner Magic Quadrant
DALLAS – September 30, 2009 – Worksoft®, an innovative provider of test and lifecycle automation solutions for use with SAP® applications, today announced that it has been positioned in the Visionaries quadrant by analyst firm Gartner, Inc. in its recently published Magic Quadrant for Integrated Software Quality Suites (1). The Magic Quadrant report evaluated fourteen software quality solution vendors based on a rigorous set of criteria that comprise ‘completeness of vision’ and ‘ability to execute’. According to Gartner, the automated software quality assurance market is comprised of three areas: Test Management, Automated Stress and Load Testing, Automated Functional and Regression Testing. According to the report, "the total market for test management and functional and load/stress automation is currently valued at just under $1.2 billion, and is growing at more than 8% per year."
"Package applications place additional constraints and different needs on testing organizations than custom development, including lack of access to source and data models, and a high degree of complexity," said Thomas Murphy in the report.
"We are very happy to be recognized by Gartner as a visionary company in the software quality market," said Dan Gannon, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Worksoft. "We believe this reinforces our script-less testing philosophy and its proven ability to reduce time and resources required to manage complex change management lifecycles."
