Worksoft® Launches New Test Data Management Solution

DALLAS – August 2, 2010 – Worksoft, an innovative provider of test and lifecycle automation solutions for use with SAP® applications, today announced the general availability of Certify Live Data™, a new test data management solution for use with Worksoft Certify®. Certify Live Data helps customers quickly create reusable, end-to-end business process tests that will improve the quality of automated testing while reducing the deployment time, testing cost and risks associated with many lifecycle events related to SAP solutions including application upgrades, enhancement packs, consolidations and other business process application changes.

It is estimated that up to 60 percent of the test automation effort is spent finding and extracting valid test data. Obtaining test data is typically a manual and labor-intensive task requiring the involvement of many outside resources including IT, security personnel, business analysts and subject matter experts. Once obtained, test data has a limited period of validity, thus making the acquisition costs recurring over time.

Certify Live Data is an innovative new test data management solution that overcomes these traditional issues by providing a simple user interface to search, extract and refresh representative SAP test data. Certify Live Data is able to run context-sensitive queries against the underlying SAP application database and then present the business user with previously used data values based on a given screen and field being tested in the business process. The user can then select one or many values to be automatically embedded into the Worksoft Certify test case along with their linkage definitions, enabling the test data to be refreshed on demand. This solution accelerates test case development and lowers the maintenance costs related to test data management over time. Key features of Certify Live Data include:

Worksoft Achieves Certified Integration with SAP NetWeaver

DALLAS – April 29, 2010 – Worksoft®, an innovative provider of test and lifecycle automation solutions for use with SAP® applications, today announced that Worksoft Certify® version 8 has been certified by SAP AG for integration with the SAP NetWeaver® Application Server (SAP NetWeaver AS). This certification, called BC-eCATT, provides customers with the confidence and assurance that Worksoft Certify has met SAP’s stringent test automation requirements for integration, interoperability and data management within SAP Solution Manager-based environments that leverage application testing.

The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that Worksoft Certify version 8 integrates with SAP NetWeaver AS via the integration scenario test tool integration into eCATT via the SAP GUI for Windows (BC-eCATT) 6.2. Through this new test automation framework, the BC-eCATT interface is the enabler for ISV test tools, such as Worksoft Certify v8, allowing integration with SAP Solution Manager.

"The script-less test automation capabilities of Worksoft Certify, when used in combination with the test management capabilities of SAP Solution Manager, will deliver additional automation features, especially in cross-platform test scenarios," said Shoeb Javed, VP Engineering, Worksoft. The SAP BC-eCATT certification provides validation that Worksoft Certify conforms to SAP’s integration standards and complies with SAP’s recommended integration for value-added SAP Solution Manager applications. When using Worksoft Certify in conjunction with SAP Solution Manager, customers can realize improved usability and more advanced automation capabilities including:

Script-less Test Automation: A single solution designed for business analysts and supporting true, end-to-end business process validation. Many application interfaces and technology platforms are supported, including the SAP GUI, SAP NetWeaver Portal, Java and Adobe Interactive Forms as well as HTML, .NET, mainframe and iSeries.
Test Management: Worksoft Certify automated test processes can be stored, modified, viewed and executed from within the test workbench of SAP Solution Manager. Certify test results are then stored in the SAP Solution Manager database where they can be viewed directly through the SAP Solution Manager interface.
Integrated Data Management: Worksoft Certify fully supports test data containers in SAP Solution Manager in order to share and manage data that is passed back and forth from Certify to SAP Solution Manager.

Worksoft Certify Performance Test introduces an intuitive yet powerful approach that greatly reduces the amount of time and resources required to diagnose and fix performance related issues within SAP applications.

Worksoft Certify Performance Test leverages existing SAP business processes, transactions and data to simulate hundreds or even thousands of business application users, allowing users to accurately measure the impact on system performance and functionality using 75 percent less time and resources than traditional solutions.

Worksoft® Closes Equity Funding Round with Crescendo Ventures and Austin Ventures
