Quality Assurance With Optimized Test Automation for New User Interface Technology From SAP

ORLANDO, Fla. (May 15, 2013) -Worksoft®, a leading provider of automated testing solutions for SAP® software and other enterprise applications, announced today that Worksoft Certify® now supports the user interface development toolkit for HTML5 provided by SAP. Also known as SAPUI5, the toolkit provides the next generation of user interface technology from SAP AG (NYSE: SAP).

This means that operating companies using new SAP functionality built using the HTML5-based user interface technology from SAP will be able to build, run, and maintain automated tests for new applications from SAP. It also means that third-party commercial applications and custom applications built using the toolkit can be efficiently tested with Worksoft Certify. In 2012, the Automated Testing Institute ranked Worksoft Certify the best commercial functional testing software for SAP solutions.

"Worksoft is committed to ensuring that our software remains the industry's best quality assurance and testing platform for customers," said Shoeb Javed, chief technology officer, Worksoft. "As an SAP partner, we closely track SAP innovations to ensure that our customers always have the industry's most up-to-date test automation technology. With the growth in mobile business apps, we believe that SAPUI5 will become widely adopted. Worksoft customers will be ready to test their end-to-end business processes - including new SAPUI5-based systems."

Support for SAPUI5 is available today in Worksoft Certify. These enhancements are part of an extensibility framework that enables cross-browser support for the development of automated tests for business applications that run on Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome browsers, as well as mobile devices.
