Report Identifies Worksoft as One of the 15 Providers that Matter Most in Omnichannel Functional Test Automation and Notes it Aims to Be the Go-To for DevOps Packaged Application Testing
DALLAS, July 30, 2018– Worksoft®, a leading global provider of continuous test automation software for mission-critical enterprise applications, today announced Worksoft was named one of the few superior choices in the market for exclusively addressing packaged application (particuarly SAP) testing in The Forrester Wave™: Omnichannel Functional Test Automation Tools, Q3 2018 report.
Workoft was among the select companies that Forrester invited to participate in its Wave evaluation, based on 26 criteria including current offering, strategy and market presence. Cited as one of the 15 most significant omnichannel functional test automation (OFTA) providers, Worksoft received the highest score possible in the packaged application testing criteria.
Forrester states in the report that “Worksoft aims to be the go-to for DevOps packaged application testing,” and that“Worksoft has excellent integration with more than 150 different types and releases of packaged application platforms.” The report asserts, “For clients that want continuous testing for enterprise business applications on SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or other packaged apps, Worksoft is a good choice.”
“We are pleased to be noted in the report for our ‘excellent integration with more than 150 different types and releases of packaged application platforms,’ which we feel is further validation of our leadership in the enterprise packaged application space for DevOps,” said Shoeb Javed, chief technology officer, Worksoft. “Furthermore, we believe being cited for helping clients achieve up to 80 percent automation is a testament to our strong commitment to client success,” he said. “Finally, we believe that we were recognized for our innovative product roadmap outlining the continued evolution of our critical offerings and superior integrations, which has poised Worksoft to extend our leadership beyond packaged applications to new areas,” he said.
The report explains, “We evaluated each tool’s operating environment and technology breadth, ranging from mobile to desktop, software-as-a-service (SaaS), device clouds, browsers, packaged apps, and even mainframe (the latter two to a smaller degree but still relevant for enterprise DevOps).” According to the report, “Worksoft’s omnichannel testing addresses the typical heterogeneous needs of automating tests for business applications across client desktops, web, and mainframe.” Forrester further notes that, “Reference clients are happy with Worksoft’s browser testing capabilities and its support and partnership,” and that, “Clients’ automation reached 40 percent to 80 percent in the past 12 months.”
This year’s “key differentiators in OFTA” are noted by Forrester as “functional design automation, breadth of technologies, testing personas, and shifting left and right testing in continuous delivery.” In its assessment, Forrester writes, “Worksoft’s strategy targets prospects that are adopting a continuous delivery and DevOps approach in concert with packaged apps.”
