New Offering Monitors Real User Activity and Captures Actual Performance to Provide Enhanced Visualization and Analysis

Worksoft Passive Capture
GARTNER SYMPOSIUM/ITxpo, Orlando, FL., Oct. 17, 2016 – Worksoft®, a leading global provider of automation software for high-velocity business process discovery and testing, today announced Worksoft Passive Capture, a new business process discovery technology. Passive Capture helps Global 5000 companies attain advanced levels of visualization and analysis and gain deeper insight into business processes across the enterprise. The announcement was made at the Gartner Symposium ITxpo 2016 being held in Orlando, October 16-20, where Worksoft is exhibiting in booth #739.

Seamless and non-disruptive to the end user, the new capability works behind-the-scenes to capture the user’s interaction with SAP and web-based ERP solutions. Worksoft Passive Capture monitors real user activity in the enterprise at the desktop, capturing the actual performance of business activities and processes. The discovery happens in real-time and at large-scale, identifying and driving opportunities for continuous business process improvement.

“Worksoft Passive Capture accelerates the depth and breadth of collected information about business process execution, enabling large enterprises to achieve improved, continuous business process discovery and insight,” said Shoeb Javed, chief technology officer, Worksoft. “Large enterprises can now gather more comprehensive business process knowledge and enhanced operational metrics including business process performance characteristics,” he said.

Worksoft Passive Capture is a new discovery component of Worksoft Analyze®, a cloud-based offering for continuous business process discovery, visualization and analytics across enterprise applications. Available for web and SAP® applications, Passive Capture complements the company’s recently announced Worksoft Process Mining for SAP® solution, combining the fastest solution for comprehensive business process discovery with automatic, incremental updates for business process changes.

“For some time, we have known the accuracy of understanding ‘as-is’ processes and the identification of opportunities for business process improvement would accelerate at scale,” added Greg Hammond, vice president of analytics at Worksoft and business-unit leader for Analyze. “Passive Capture is a key part of achieving this goal. We now offer customers multiple discovery technologies, increasing the timeliness, coverage and accuracy of business process knowledge across the enterprise.”

Worksoft Analyze captures business processes as performed by consumers and business users in their enterprise systems, and creates documentation for compliance, audit and training purposes, including business flow diagrams with heat maps and process variations, as well as process steps with screen captures. Every business process captured in Worksoft Analyze can be used as the basis for automated business process testing in Worksoft Certify®.
