How Worksoft Business Process Procedure Works
Worksoft BPP complements Worksoft Certify and can report against any application or technology that Certify can test. It is capable of supporting one or multiple Worksoft Certify instances and/or databases and is useful for multi-user collaboration.
When Worksoft Certify runs tests, BPP captures and catalogs sequential sets of test steps and translates them into simple, easy to understand descriptions. Test steps are grouped by test process and application screen. Screen captures are included for additional depth and detail. As business processes and applications change, Worksoft Certify tests are adjusted to reflect the appropriate updates. Subsequent successful test executions automatically produce corresponding updated and accurate business process documentation.
The constantly updated and comprehensive documentation produced by Worksoft BPP is key to preservation of institutional knowledge. It can be used for a wide variety of activities, from functional documentation and training to compliance activities like SOX and internal audit.
Documentation can be output in PDF, Microsoft® Word, HTML or XPS formats. Custom templates allow you full control over the look and feel of the generated document as well as the contents. Documentation can be generated on-demand or based on a set of triggers, and the application has a notification system so you stay up-to-date on the go.
Shift Documentation Left with Worksoft Analyze
It’s great to be able to document a test after it runs. But what about all the documentation that needed to be produced in order to create the automated test in the first place. What if you could also automate that? That is exactly what Worksoft Analyze does.
With Worksoft Analyze, the business user turns on a process “capture” feature from their desktop toolbar when executing a business process in their enterprise application of choice, such as SAP or a web application. When the process is complete, they simply turn off the capture feature. Every business process function, keystroke, and transaction has been uploaded into the automation software. In this way, the software captures process information directly from the user’s interaction with the application and its underlying business objects. No interviewer and no time delay. Higher accuracy and lower cost.
