Accelerate Defect Resolution with Automated Defect Documentation and Reporting

Worksoft Certify facilitates rapid defect resolution by improving collaboration between QA and development/functional teams. Leveraging Certify, users can quickly and easily create detailed documentation about a defect, including annotated screenshots that make it easy for the developer/functional expert to understand and reproduce the issue. Further efficiencies can be gained by leveraging one of Certify’s out-of-the-box integrations with Jira, Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS) or ServiceNow. Details and supporting documentation are fed directly into the defect tracking system. No time is wasted documenting issues in emails or manually updating error-tracking spreadsheets.

Worksoft Business Process Procedure (BPP) provides further value by streamlining data driven tests. Using BPP a separate report for each row of data in a test can be generated. This eliminates the need to create a separate test for each data permutation and prevents test sprawl from occurring.

Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server

Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS) is an ALM solution that provides a number of related functionalities, including requirements management, version control, lab management, defect tracking and many others. Worksoft Certify can auto-create defect tickets in TFS. A Worksoft Certify user can select a failed Certify execution result and instantly create the TFS ticket. Certify pre-populates the TFS ticket with information about the issue. The Certify TFS integration also supports mapping custom fields between Certify and TFS.

ServiceNow

ServiceNow is an IT Service Management (ITSM) system that allows users to capture and organize IT incidents, assign work and follow team activities. The integration with ServiceNow allows users to directly submit incidents found in the Certify Result Viewer to ServiceNow. This provides ServiceNow users with an efficient and effective means to view test result data, report issues and seek resolution. Details of issues can also be viewed directly in Certify.

Jira

Atlassian Jira is an IT requirements and defect-tracking system that allows users to capture and organize IT issues, assign work and follow team activities. The Worksoft Certify integration with Jira enables a user to submit issues into Jira from the Certify Result Viewer. Leveraging the integration, you can submit defects directly from Certify to Jira. All of the issue’s fields in Jira are auto-populated using information from the corresponding Certify results and processes. Once the issue has been submitted to Jira, system users can edit, refine and assign to a corresponding requirement. Details of the issue can also be viewed directly in Certify.
